A Beyond Identical Black Wishbone Chair Designer Copycat

If you’re a fan of mid-century modern design (and really, interior design in general), there's no doubt you’ve seen the Wishbone Chair a time or two before. Designed by Hans Wegner in 1949, this iconic chair is celebrated for its minimalist elegance, organic shape, and superior craftsmanship. Over the years I've seen a more modern take on the classic Scandinavian design make its way into many of my most beloved designers' spaces, and I've been blown away by the impact it makes in each varying design.

The black colorway in particular is what I've found myself most drawn to. It's a wonderful contrast, an impressively versatile choice, and it looks good just about anywhere I've seen it put. The chair, while easily found on many of my most favorites sites like McGee & Co., Shoppe Amber Interiors and Pottery Barn, isn't particularly budget-friendly, especially when purchasing multiples for a dining space it's so perfectly made for, so I did what I do best and took to the internet to see if I could find a more affordable and similar-enough choice, and boy did I do just that.

The Enzo Dining Chair from Poly & Bark is an essentially identical alternative to the Ruthie Chair from McGee & Co, The Bowie Chair from Shoppe Amber Interiors, The Westan Chair from Pottery Barn, and anywhere else this fabulous chair happens to live. While I don't in the likelihood of a bit of quality difference, Poly & Bark's Enzo Chair is a perfect solution to bring the same timeless design into your home at a fraction of the cost if $300+ per chair happens to go beyond your spending power. (Just be sure to note dimensions when comparing, as Poly & Bark's version is a smidge smaller.)
